The Lab of investment and marketing decision (A0504) Liang-Chun Ho
The function of this lab is to provide students a venue to setting their decisions of investment, and mock of real investment. Students can virtually trade stocks, futures contract, options, and other derivatives as they do in the real markets. Besides, through the courses, students can realize the characteristics of various financial instruments, the setting of trading strategy of institutional investors (II), and the portfolio planning of mutual funds.
In addition, the integration of computer, software, and the database helps the teachers and students get into the real market situation. The positive interaction with students enriches and refines the lecture, which leads the students understand the concepts and the theories of the courses. All of these strongly increase the willing for the professional license examinations and improve students’ achievement.

The lab of financial dealing (D0106-3)
The main objective of this lab is to support students in learning and studying the software and database for the purpose to enhance students’ ability of treasury and practice of ordering. This can help students quickly understand the work of real markets. The expected performance of the lab as:
1. Improve students’ ability of analysis and their understanding of ordering.
2. Attendance of trading games or the place for discussion.

The Centre has two characteristics as:
1. Financing consulting service: the centre is set to offer a place of practical operations and trainings. It also provides some professional consulting service to the staff of university and the employee of the companies around the university.
2. Accounting consulting service: regularly consulting service from certified public accountant (CPA) and financial professionals are offered in this centre, which is for the networks with the corporations near the university.

The main object of the lab, equipped with corporate governance database and related software, is to support teacher’s research and students’ study in the field of corporate finance. In addition, all of these can strengthen students’ studies in related issues, research projects in corresponding topics, and also their research ability. The expected performance of the lab as:
To produce contemporary students with the expertise in corporate finance and personal financing area.
To cultivate students’ ability of financial software and the use of corporate governance database.
